New York City is one of my favorite getaway destinations because it has one of the best restaurant and bar scenes out there. We always love to explore the city and try new things, and thanks to HGV Rewards program, we usually save in the process! It’s my number one tip for saving on dining in New York City.
HGV Rewards is available to Hilton Club Members and Guests to help you explore some of the city’s best experiences. In New York, you can spend HGV Rewards Card at a long list of participating partners to receive discounts and special offers at local attractions, restaurants and businesses.
I’m amazed by how many HGV Rewards partner restaurants in New York offer benefits for Hilton Club Members and Guests. I’ve compiled a list of two of my favorites, plus six that have received a Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award, each offering a 15% discount.
My Favorite Places To Dine In New York On A Budget
Pazza Notte
Staying at the The Central at 5th, a Hilton Club or The Residences, a Hilton Club? Take a quick walk down the block and stop by Pazza Notte for a hearty and delicious Italian dinner. This location offers the perfect meal before heading out of the city and even has a champagne brunch. How can you go wrong?
Zibetto Espresso Bar
If you know me, you know that I drink coffee like water. I love that the Elevated Rewards program has a great coffee option available: Zibetto. Their coffee bars are self-described to make you “feel like you’re walking into any small café from Trieste to Milano.” Be sure to check out one of their two locations on 6th Avenue.
6 HGV Rewards Partner Restaurants With A Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award
1. Bice Cucina
The Midtown Manhattan Bice location is an offshoot of a family-owned restaurant group founded in Milan, Italy, in 1926. It’s known for fine Northern Italian cuisine and excellent service. Some guest favorites include the beef carpaccio, eggplant parmesan and fresh pasta.
2. John’s of Times Square
Located inside a formerly abandoned church and transformed by a hardworking single mother, John’s of Times Square is the largest pizzeria in the United States. Pies at John’s are made to order in one of the four 800-degree coal-fired brick ovens, ensuring each pizza is unique as the ovens become seasoned over time (think: cast iron skillet style).
3. Oceana Restaurant
Oceana is an American seafood restaurant, just a hop and a skip from famous New York City attractions such as Rockefeller Plaza, Broadway and Radio City Music Hall. In addition to its best-in-class service and award-winning wine list, Oceana’s newest feature includes a six-seat chef’s counter, where you can get up close and personal with the action in the kitchen.
4. Trattoria Dell’Arte
You’ll find this unique Italian restaurant in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, directly across the street from Carnegie Hall. Trattoria Dell’Arte’s design is reminiscent of an Italian artist’s studio — complete with larger-than-life sculptures and drawings. Patrons rave about the well-done Italian classics and the vegetarian and vegan options, such as the vegetarian antipasto bar.
5. Rue 57
Rue 57 is known for its fusion of French American classics with an Asian flare. Crowd-pleasing favorites include brasserie benedict, brioche French toast, classic steak frites and miso-glazed Chilean sea bass. Rue 57 is located blocks from Central Park, in the center of the action, making it an ideal choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
6. Astro Restaurant
Astro Restaurant is described by travelers as a “classic American diner” with generous portions, good food and reasonable prices. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night, it’s home to a robust menu offering everything from burgers to quesadillas to lox and cocktails. You’re bound to find something to satisfy your appetite here.
There are so many flavors to explore (and so many ways to save!) with your HGV Rewards Card. And while this post highlighted only a few fantastic options in New York City, there are also programs in Washington, D.C. and Charleston, so be sure to check those out, too.
