Of all the benefits of Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare, I'd say one of our favorites is sharing our holidays with friends at incredible travel destinations.
We split the cost of our maintenance fees, and our friends enjoy a luxury holiday at a very minimal price.
Group Travel: One of the Many Benefits of Hilton Grand Vacations Timeshare
Recently, we traveled with friends and their two kids (four and six years old) for their first vacation to Hawaii. We booked a 2-bedroom suite for them and a 1-bedroom suite for us at Lagoon Tower by Hilton Grand Vacations located within Hilton Hawaiian Village®.
The trip kicked off with the Aloha Spirit for which the Islands (and Hilton Grand Vacations) are known.
When we first arrived, the Lagoon Tower Team Members welcomed us warmly with beautiful shell leis for the girls and kukui nut leis for the boys, which brings me to our second favorite part of vacation ownership with Hilton Grand Vacations — the service.
The staff helped us with our luggage up to our suites, and since we ended up on different floors so we could have a nicer view, the front counter gave us an extra key to easily move between floors.
Navigating between floors was worth it. We had an amazing view of the marina next door, and the lanai was outfitted with lounge-worthy furniture, making it a great spot to take in the Friday night fireworks and Hawaiian sunset views.
In addition to stunning views, it had a fully equipped kitchen, spa-like bathroom and a living area complete with a pull-out bed. Finally, our newly renovated suite was super clean and roomy enough to accommodate four adults comfortably.
Although, I wouldn't expect any less from Hilton Grand Vacations.
An Unforgettable First Time Hawaiian Vacation
While we were unpacking, I got an exciting message from my friend who had arrived in her room. She could not believe how nice their suite was and jokingly, kind of, wondering if they were in the wrong room.
We quickly finished what we were doing to go check out her space, and — WOW. The 2-bedroom suites are spectacular.
It was massive, with a primary bedroom with a king-size bed and en suite and a second bedroom with twin beds for the kids. Naturally, the highlight for the kids was the TV in their bedroom where they could watch the Disney channel to their hearts' content.
The kitchen was large and fully equipped with an adjoining large dining table. Our friends' suite was also newly renovated, and all of the furnishings and décor were gorgeous. We laughed, almost in disbelief, at how amazing the space was.
The 2-bedroom suite was so nice and spacious that we spent quite a bit of time together having breakfast, afternoon breaks and take-out dinner.
We didn't do any actual cooking in the kitchen but had wanted to; we could have easily made a full meal.
It was an ideal place to give the kids downtime between activities without feeling like we were just sitting in a hotel room, and it made being together comfortable because there was space for all of us to lounge around.
Months later, we still talk about how amazing that room was, mainly because I could book it in Gold weeks, stretching my points and keeping the cost down.
Beyond the Suite: Exploring Hilton Hawaiian Village
As the name suggests, Lagoon Tower is located close to the Hilton Hawaiian Village lagoon and has views up and down Waikiki beach.
In addition, it's an easy walk to the Ala Moana shopping center in one direction and the main shopping precinct of Waikiki in the other.
The Village is home to various restaurants and shops, and every Friday night, fireworks light the sky over the lagoon. The kids especially loved Hilton Hawaiian Village with so many swimming choices, a safe lagoon where they could try paddle boarding and snorkeling, and, of course, lots of space to run around.
If you're traveling with family (given, chosen or extended), consider a 2- or 3-bedroom suite at Lagoon Tower. You won't regret it.
